Entry-Level Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Engineer to join a forward-thinking team focused on system planning, modeling, and data-driven decision-making. This is a non-design role ideal for candidates who enjoy working with large datasets, building models, and influencing infrastructure strategy through analysis—not drafting.

What You’ll Do

As part of a collaborative team of engineers and GIS professionals, you will:

Analyze new business inquiries for gas service across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.Build and refine models using millions of rows of data to support planning decisions.Evaluate project load, identify customer demand, and recommend efficient, cost-effective solutions.Present findings and model outcomes to planning teams, engineers, and executive stakeholders.Work across the full lifecycle of each inquiry, from intake to recommendation.Use tools like Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint to communicate insights and support strategic planning.Participate in weekly reviews of 30+ new service requests, weighing options and forecasting outcomes.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with design standards and material requirements.What You Bring

Required:

ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.1–3 years of experience or 1–2 relevant internships.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Strong public speaking and presentation skills—confidently communicate ideas to senior leadership.Ability to read and interpret engineering plans.Curiosity, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred:

Experience with Microsoft Access and large-scale data analysis.Exposure to GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS).Familiarity with hydraulic modeling or fluid dynamics.Background in simulation or modeling software (e.g., Molex, plastic injection, air/liquid flow).What to ExpectYou’ll start by learning the systems and tools (0–3 months), then begin running models and presenting to planning partners (3–6 months).The work is highly analytical and repetitive, ideal for someone who enjoys consistency and solving complex problems through data.You’ll be part of a team that makes recommendations—not designs—and plays a critical role in shaping infrastructure decisions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr.
