Entry-Level Electrical Design Engineer (DOD Project)
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for an, Entry-Level Electrical Design Engineer, for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the U.S. Air Force facility near Ogden, UT.  This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization.  Our client is targeting a base rate of $50.00/hour for this role.

United States Citizenship is required.

Position Summary:
This role will support the USAF Sentinel Program Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase by preparing engineering studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.  This is an onsite position at Hill Air Force Base, just outside Salt Lake City, UT.  Full time presence on project is required.


Major Responsibilities: Work under the direction of senior engineers/designers to develop design products. Reviews client requirements and incorporates them into a design product Coordinates the reviews of deliverables between the client as well as other engineering disciplines/functions. Reviews and resolves comments/feedback on the deliverables Ensures electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards such as the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) Reviews and checks design deliverables for quality, accuracy, neatness, functionality and satisfactory completion Travel to project locations as required. Assists in the development of electrical design deliverables such as but not limited to: Single line drawings Panel schedule drawings Schematics Cable block diagrams Electrical system calculations Lightning protection design Cathodic protection design Bill of materials/material take offs  Equipment sizing calculations  Equipment specifications for purchasing, installing, operating
Education / Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Less than 1 year of relevant work experience. Hands-on experience using AutoCAD. Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and layouts. Knowledge of power systems load modeling and analysis tools, such as ETAP. Understanding of engineering drawings, systems calculations, equipment sizing and cable sizing. Prior work experience in multi-project environment and demonstrated flexibility in work assignments. Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively. Ability to execute work independently. Ability to obtain security clearance. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). E.I.T. certification a plus. Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense a plus.
