Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and motivated Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, United States. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to kickstart their career in civil engineering and contribute to exciting projects while developing their skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
The responsibility of this position includes, but are not limited to:
Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects under the supervision of senior engineersConduct site visits and field investigations to gather data and assess project requirementsPerform engineering calculations and analysis using industry-standard software toolsCreate and modify technical drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD and other relevant softwareCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectivelyParticipate in project meetings and contribute ideas for problem-solving and process improvementsAssist in the preparation of reports, permit applications, and other technical documentsStay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations relevant to civil engineering projectsSupport the development and implementation of quality control measuresContribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologiesQualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D Design or similar applications.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate preferred but not required.Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.Ability to travel domestically or internationallyAdditional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this position.About AECOM
