Job Description
This role involves direct interaction with customers, fostering relationships, and possessing an extensive knowledge of the products sold. The primary objective is to ensure each customer receives exceptional service by creating a welcoming environment, educating them on the sales process, assessing their needs, and locating products that align with their specifications.
ResponsibilitiesAssist clients in selecting slabs for their projects.Coordinate marketing and outreach efforts to architects, designers, homebuilders, and the general public through various channels.Support dealers such as fabricators with sales and ordering processes.Perform duties and responsibilities in a timely manner.Answer phones, organize the designer room, file paperwork, and respond to customer inquiries.Attend scheduled training sessions and maintain showroom literature.Ensure showroom appearance is maintained.Conduct market research and develop new customer contacts.Attend events and training outside of showroom hours.Provide and encourage outstanding customer service.Assist walk-in clients and customers with product selection.Sell additional product lines and upgrades.Answer telephone calls.Maintain existing customer relationships and network.Walk from showroom to warehouse with customers.Tag selected slabs in Stone Profits.Verify availability and location of material in the warehouse.Follow through with ongoing customer accounts.Essential SkillsCustomer serviceAdministrative supportMicrosoft Office proficiencyGood phone presenceFriendly demeanor towards walk-in customersComputer literacyCustomer service orientationSales skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsGeneral computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, and internet-based information.Technical sales knowledge of granite, marble, and plumbing fixtures is a plus.Some college-level education or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.At least 1 year of customer service and/or inside sales experience.Work Environment
The work environment is a normal office and showroom sales setting. The role requires standing and walking for prolonged periods, with full use of hands for handling objects, computer equipment, and peripherals. Occasional bending for filing is required. Employees must be able to work on Saturdays and lift up to 25 lbs. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
