OverviewThis role will diagnose, triage, and escalate reported issues to appropriate teams utilizing in-depth product knowledge. The role will facilitate the resolution for business impacting incidents and service requests, while keeping customer satisfaction as the primary goal. Success as a Support Engineer depends on strong technical troubleshooting and development skills, strong proactive internal and external communication skills, and initiative.
This is a hybrid position (3 days onsite) located in our Nashville, TN office.
ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the technical landscape at HireRight.Enter new trouble tickets, escalate existing tickets, and keep users informed of status.Provide insight into how things could be designed better or technical layers could be improved and hardened to improve the customer experience.Effectively troubleshoot and provide resolutions to complex enterprise application issues to provide whole problem statements and supporting collateral to other teams like Product, Platform, Development, DevOps and IT Infrastructure.Identify database, network and service issues separately from software code errors.Ensure software problems are effectively managed and communicated to resolution.Establish a close working relationship across multiple departments.Ability to collaborate with end users & stakeholders, in team environment as well as work independently.
Qualifications
Looking for a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the following areas:
Technologies Required – Oracle RAC, JBoss, ServiceMix, Oracle Web Center, Jackrabbit OAK, RabbitMQ, RedHat Linux
Technologies as a Plus -
SFTP, eFax, SendGrid, Twilio, Tableau, F5, Volterra, Azure load balancers, SQL Server, RunDeck, .Net, Azure, MongoDB, AWS, GCP,. Applicant Tracking System Integrations like WorkDay, Taleo, OOC, ICIMS, TenStreet as well as vendor support for our data sources.
Experience with these Tools– AppDynamics, SolarWinds, Data Dog, Pingdoms, Thousand Eyes, Putty, SFTP, Wireshark, SOAP, Rest API, Powershell, follow scripting logic.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Degree in Management Information SystemsAdvanced Technology Certifications
About you
• 5 to 10+ years supporting Enterprise applications or the technologies relayed.
• Ability to work different shifts and participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
