Enterprise Systems Engineer

We build enterprise products for Meta first.As one of the leading engineering teams in the enterprise world, our goal is to provide a solid foundation and platform for Meta businesses to build services and run workloads. As a Linux Systems Engineer, you will build the infrastructure for our high traffic, high visibility services. You will provide operational support for critical services that enable connected experiences found across Meta. We constantly review our processes, automate wherever possible, and develop our own toolchains when necessary. Join us and become part of a world-class team that allows Meta to deliver High Quality services to its employees. **Required Skills:** Enterprise Systems Engineer Responsibilities: 1. Build, scale, and secure the Linux environment within Meta enterprise infrastructure, a heterogeneous environment containing various operating systems and applications 2. Apply modern engineering methodologies such as Infrastructure-as-Code, container orchestration, and software-defined storage 3. Implement systems that are scalable, automated, monitored, and well-documented 4. Find ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger Meta production infrastructure to solve problems for enterprise customers 5. Participate in incident root cause analysis through multiple infrastructure layers (compute, storage, network) **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 6. 1+ years of experience in systems engineering 7. 1+ years experience automating the management of infrastructure and services 8. 1+ years experience working with monitoring and configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Saltstack, etc 9. 1+ years experience coding in at least one of the following languages: Python, Ruby, PHP, Rust, or Go 10. Thorough understanding of Linux operating system internals 11. Demonstrated experience in being able to complete tasks and small/medium features with minimal guidance **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 12. BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline 13. Prior experience supporting configuration management in a multi-region environment 14. Prior experience building services 15. Prior experience building PaaS or internal clouds 16. Prior experience with Virtualized or Containerized environments **Industry:** Internet
