Job Overview

The Assistant Vice President - Enterprise Software Sourcing position is an intermediate level position responsible for participating in procurement activities such as defining the need for goods and services, negotiating price contracts and authorizing payment for goods and services in coordination with the Corporate Services team. The overall objective of this role is to acquire goods and services requested by company personnel in support of the company's business.

What you will do:

Create global data and information analytics strategy and plan for procurement services as well as analyze key market data, statistics, and reports to identify market trends and best practices supporting the Enterprise & Infrastructure Software and Public Cloud sourcing categoriesAssist in analyzing spend by region, business, and category and provide input into development and execution of financial, business information, and analytics strategyAnalyze supplier spend analytics, operational/performance metrics, cost financial analytics, save tracking/reporting, benchmarking, category market intelligence, forecasting, and commodity segmentation effortsCoordinate operational, process, reporting/structural change required as well as coordinate metrics and process reviewsProvide assistance to sourcing teams with saves, spend, and opportunity analytics work with the category and subcategory managers to identify spend and develop spend baselinesWork with suppliers and internal business units to consolidate information, perform ad hoc spend requests, program compliance monitoring reports and commodity reports, and RFx analysisWork with varied units through expense managers, reengineering teams/vendor managers, expense policy compliance and reporting, senior management briefing books, etc.Analyze RFx replies and develop reports and charts/graphs illustrating saves or increases in spendCoordinate the preparation and analysis of bid packages and education eventsActs as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

What we'll need from you:

5-8 years of relevant experiencePrior experience either directly negotiating or supporting complex software contracts with large suppliers like Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM/Red Hat, ServiceNow, Broadcom/CA/VMware, AWS, Google, etc.Experience with Procurement and Accounts Payable (AP) systemsExperience with Contracts and eProcurement tools (e.g. Oracle, Procure-to-Pay, eAuction, eRFX)Experience with reporting and analyticsExperience with Risk and Controls preferredProficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Demonstrated organization and time management skillsBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceFluent English skills
