Make your mark for patients

We are looking for an Enterprise Security Architect to join us in our Enterprise Security Architecture team, based in our HQ office in Anderlecht, Belgium.

 

About the role

You will be working in a team that shapes and secures the future of our global digital landscape. As an Enterprise Security Architect, you’ll play a key role in designing and guiding secure technology solutions that support UCB’s mission to create value for people living with severe diseases. You’ll help embed cybersecurity into every layer of our IT environment ensuring that innovation and security go hand in hand. From developing security frameworks to advising on complex global projects, your work will directly contribute to maintaining trust, protecting data, and enabling UCB’s long-term digital ambitions.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll be part of a global team focused on information security, risk management, and compliance. Working closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and project leads, you’ll help ensure that security principles are integrated seamlessly into our systems, services, and strategy.

What you’ll do

Design and implement enterprise-wide security frameworks and controlsReview and advise on security for global IT projects and initiativesDefine and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelinesTranslate complex threats into actionable, risk-based recommendationsEnsure alignment of security architecture with business and IT strategiesStay current on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory standardsPromote a strong security culture through training, awareness, and stakeholder engagement

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

At least a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or CybersecurityAt least 7 years of experience in IT with cybersecurity focusMinimum 3 years in a security architecture or similar roleStrong knowledge of security design, implementation, and best practicesFamiliarity with frameworks like ISO 27001, ITIL, and COBITRelevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SABSA are a strong plus
