Enterprise Risk Management - Sr Enterprise Risk Management Analyst

The Sr Enterprise Risk Management Analyst identifies, evaluates, analyzes, and mitigates risks across the enterprise. The position develops risk management strategies to efficiently and cost effectively manage these risks. It focuses primarily on the operational risks of the life, annuity, and pension risk transfer (PRT) lines of business.
This position is available onsite in Glenmont, NY and League City, TX.
What You'll Do:
Proactively partners with risk owners to identify and assess the likelihood and impact of potential risks. Leads risk owners in the identification of risk mitigation and control measures for the identified risks. Assembles and analyzes risk scenarios to determine the likelihood and impact of significant events to business objectives, ultimately identifying risks that warrant further action. Assist in the development of risk response action plans to address identified risks. Assist in the risk evaluations of third-party service providers to ensure appropriate awareness and mitigation of risks resulting from third party relationships. · Assist in development and improvement of operational risk policies, procedures, and guidelines that support key business functions and include appropriate internal controls. Ensure testing of risk controls. Reviews key risk indicators for alignment with risk tolerances, provide explanations, and remediation plans for items outside of their limits. Reviews independent risk assessments and processes reviews to ensure they are effective and proposes changes as needed to ensure processes align with the company’s risk tolerance. Independently identifies areas that would benefit from improved business processes and controls, and partners with leaders to develop and implement new action plans. Analyses proposed initiatives and offers suggestions that minimizes risk to the organization. Supports the implementation of risk management projects and initiatives. Compiles risk metrics for management and Board reporting.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Four to six years of experience. Supervisory/management experience not applicable. Additional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, business, economics, or a related field. Experience in a life, annuity and/or PRT company. Experience in risk management, business analytics, or a related role. Working knowledge of enterprise risk and operational risk management frameworks, principles, and practices. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to independently research, analyze data, identify trends and patterns, and derive facts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in risk management are a plus. Familiarity with insurance industry laws, rules and regulations.
