DirectorJob Description & Summary
As a Director in our practice, you will be part of our Risk & Governance Services leadership team and hold a critical role in strategizing our strength, growth and sustainable success. Your day-to-day responsibilities in this role will include:Collaborating with market-leading risk, audit and control partners in business development opportunities and fostering long-term relationships.
Overseeing engagements, including the determination of risks, scoping, execution, reporting and commercial management to ensure value is delivered to our clients.
Leading, coaching and mentoring engagement teams and aiding their career development.
Providing internal audit, risk and internal control expertise to diverse stakeholders including Executives, Board and Audit & Risk Committees.
Contributing to the advancement of PwC Canada’s national ERC &IA practice.

As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead in line with our values and brand, and develop new ideas, solutions, and structures; drive thought leadership.
Balance long-term, short-term, detailed-oriented, and big picture thinking.
Make strategic choices and drive change by addressing system-level enablers.
Promote technological advances, creating an environment where people and technology thrive together.
Be a subject matter expert in our assurance and advisory services through internal audit, internal control functions, enterprise risk management programs, regulatory compliance, and governance.
Analyse and assess client business strategies and related business processes and systems by exploring multiple angles and using creativity, encouraging others to do the same, to help their management understand and address business objectives, requirements, risks, controls, and improvement opportunities.
Embrace new ways to deliver client value through alternative delivery models.
Focus on the market in to identify and build trusted client relationships.
Generate new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
Prepare highly effective, value-added audit reports, advisory reports and proposals.
Oversee presentations for engagement opportunities.
Initiate open and honest coaching conversations at all levels.
Proactively anticipate stakeholder needs, develop and discuss potential solutions.
Navigate the complexities of national and global teams and engagements.
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
Consulting/advisory experience required.
Extensive experience managing internal audits, risk and internal control engagements.
Experience in all aspects and phases of the internal audit life cycle (strategic/annual planning, stakeholder relationship management, audit planning and execution, reporting and performance management).
Experience leading and/or responding to Requests for Proposals.
Experience overseeing and managing multiple client engagements (with various size, scope and complexity), overseeing local and national technical or industry collaborators.
Experience identifying and implementing opportunities to improve on delivery, quality and efficiency.
CPA, CIA, or CISA designation preferred.
Strong commitment to providing excellence in client service and a demonstrated ability to produce high quality results.
