Enterprise Resiliency DR Officer

How you will create an impact The purpose of the Enterprise Resiliency DR Officer role is to drive and maintain an effective program that safeguards AIG’s assets and operations from real or potential threats and vulnerabilities of any type. This individual contributor role will develop a deep understanding of business functions and technology employed across the globe, working with IT and Enterprise Resiliency Officers as well as Corporate functional resources (Operations, Finance, HR, etc) to drive the continual evolution of the Resiliency policies and procedures including capturing Business Impact Analysis (BIAs), Disaster Recovery plans, executing and documenting application test results, tracking and maintaining metrics and reporting. Responsibilities: + Establish and maintain relationships with Business Unit personnel responsible for Disaster Recovery to guide them in DR related responsibilities and influence the quality of their work – this regularly includes stakeholders at all levels. + Closely partner with other IT and Enterprise Resiliency team members to confirm business requirements for DR, i.e. application RTO’s (recovery time objectives) and supporting infrastructure such as hardware, firewalls, LAN/WAN connectivity, etc; facilitate supply/demand reviews with business leaders and technology support when business application RTO’s do not align with technology RTC (recovery time capability) + Govern how our 1000+ firm-wide Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) are updated annually, including all infrastructure and applications/platforms, following regulatory requirements within the US and international countries where AIG operates + Drive ongoing scheduling, development, and execution of a firm-wide DR testing program, including capture of data and testing results in the repository for requirements, planning, testing results, and metrics/reporting. This involves facilitating DR testing several weekends per year through the use of parallel testing, failover testing, and recovery process verification (RPV) testing methods + Understand and help guide the continued development of our AWS and Azure environments that host applications as we mature how we execute DR testing through VMC, EC2, and other cloud solutions + Familiarity with regulatory requirements domestically and internationally (FRB, Bank of England, MSA. etc) that AIG needs to ensure we have captured in our Resiliency policy and standards so we abide by all jurisdictions where we do business (i.e. so our DR solutions, plans, and testing all follow regulatory expectations and can be evidenced) + Maintain DR analytics dashboard and using Excel, Power BI and SharePoint skill set to keep our metrics and reporting consistently up to date, providing weekly status report for internal use and be ready to provide on demand reports to business team members as needed. + Drive the testing and validation of Disaster Recovery integration in the Resiliency toolset with other enterprise-wide systems used by partner organizations such as IT, GCC, Facilities & GSOC. + Deliver tool-related training materials needed for program stakeholders to execute their required tasks (Resiliency Officers, Coordinators, etc.) + Assist in the development of additional non-toolset related training initiatives for select program stakeholders + Utilize AIG’s collaboration and communications platforms to forward departmental goals & initiatives What you’ll need to succeed + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with industry recognized Professional Certification (preferred) + 7+ years professional experience in financial services, insurance, technology, disaster recovery or business continuity + Experience planning, developing, and implementing firm-wide IT platforms in large, complex organizations + Strong understanding and knowledge of processes and technologies relevant to responsibilities + Experience with industry BC/DR/IM tools such as ServiceNow BCM, Everbridge (or similar) highly preferred + Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, and proven interpersonal skills + Experience in working in large, matrixed, and geographically dispersed organizations + Ability to work independently to deliver multiple, potentially competing, priorities and assignments + Be available during off hours and willingness to travel to regional facilities as necessary + Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office suit + Ability to work in office-type environment Preferred: + Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Collaboration platforms + Demonstrated ability to drive change through influence + Ability to define solutions and make decisions in ambiguous situations + DRII or similar industry certification Ready to take your career to the next level?
