Enterprise Pricing Supervisor

If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level. **Job Description:** The Enterprise Pricing Supervisor is responsible for supporting the sales force by both retaining and growing volume and revenue for UPS. He/She provides competitive rates and effective pricing strategies that both maximize profitability and favorably position UPS in the market. The Enterprise Pricing Supervisor have direct reports. **Job Responsibilities** Evaluates and Analyzes Pricing Requests + Evaluates Pricing Request bids from the Enterprise Sales for accuracy, completeness, and validity to ensure all information is provided to fulfill the pricing request. + Builds queries using various database tools to understand customers’ current contracts, volume, and rates to determine pricing necessary to win or retain business and what value proposition UPS can provide. + Collaborates with Sales and Cross function teams as needed to gather all relevant data not included in the Pricing Request bids to support the account strategy. + Tracks the progress of Pricing Request bids to maintain the response time goals set by the Pricing Group. + Evaluates and analyzes customers’ global shipping requests to gain a comprehensive understanding of customers’ needs and recommend UPS services. Evaluates and Develops Pricing Strategies and Discounts + Evaluates competitive situations, current market conditions, and profitability of accounts to formulate sales/pricing strategies. + Develops appropriate sales/pricing strategies to position UPS effectively and appropriately in relation to the competition and market while taking profitability and contribution into consideration. + Ensures all pricing approvals to Sales are clear, properly outlined and maintained for Pricing documentation + Completes ad hoc analyses for upper management to provide information on financial impacts of different pricing scenarios (e.g., impacts of competitor vs. UPS offers, impacts of weight, impacts of rate increases, etc.). Implements Accepted Contracts and Addendums + Submits completed copies of rate charts, approval forms or any other relevant documents pertaining to contracts to Implementation team to begin implementation. + Works with Sales to verify information pertaining to accepted proposals to ensure there are no delays in implementing arrangements. + Audits contracts or addendums for accuracy after acceptance and implementation and set up to ensure correct and proper rates are offered. + Ensures that revision to general contract language are vetted by Revenue Management + Ensures that implementation expectation is managed between Sales and Implementation team Responds to Internal and External Inquiries and Provides Training + Responds to internal and external requests from a wide variety of groups to provide pricing solutions and clarify information needs for account setups. + Communicates with groups around the globe to ensure timely responses to inquiries. Supervises and Develops Others + Determines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans. + Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance. + Conducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement. + Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals. + Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork. **Job Requirements** + Possess a Degree in Finance, Marketing, Business or related fields + At least two-year experience in Pricing, Planning, Reporting, Market Analytics, Statistics, Finance related role + Meticulous with strong attention to details, demonstrate good numerate skills, matured thinking, dependable and requires minimum supervision + Ability to manage a virtual team + Fast learner, proactive team player and ability to work in a challenging environment with complex organizational structure + Ability to troubleshoot issues independently + Expert level of MS Office application, especially Excel and Access; PowerBI knowledge is an advantage + Excellence in oral and written communication skill in English with ability to communicate and present pricing proposal to UPS leadership **Employee Type:** Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
