The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Platform Patch Lead to join the DHS Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) program in support of the United States Coast Guard (USCG). This role is critical to managing, automating, and securing patching operations across enterprise platforms spanning Windows, Linux, and cloud-based systems in IL4/IL5 environments. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in large-scale patching strategies, vulnerability remediation, and cross-platform orchestration in hybrid infrastructures.

Responsibilities:
-Lead enterprise-wide patch management efforts across Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).
-Develop, maintain, and execute patching schedules in compliance with USCG and DoD directives.
-Coordinate monthly and out-of-band patch cycles in alignment with mission-critical operations and change control boards.
-Automate patch deployment using tools such as Microsoft MECM, WSUS, Intune, Ansible, AWS Systems Manager, and Azure Update Manager.
-Track and report patch compliance metrics to senior leadership, ensuring timely remediation of vulnerabilities (aligned to CVSS scores).
-Oversee platform baselines and image maintenance for consistent deployment and security across endpoints and servers.
-Collaborate with cybersecurity and system engineering teams to evaluate patch impact, risk, and mitigation steps.
-Respond to audit requests and generate technical documentation supporting RMF and ATO packages.
-Perform validation and regression testing of updates across dev/test/prod environments prior to full deployment.
-Support STIG enforcement and hardening efforts related to configuration drift and patch validation.
-Mentor junior engineers and coordinate patch readiness training sessions.

Qualifications:
-Active Secret clearance.
-DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or a related field.
-8+ years of experience in systems administration or enterprise IT operations.
-5+ years of experience in patch management of large, distributed environments.
-Hands-on experience with MECM (SCCM), WSUS, Intune, and Ansible or comparable automation tools.
-Familiarity with AWS Systems Manager Patch Manager and Azure Update Management.
-Experience working in IL4/IL5 or FedRAMP environments.
-Strong understanding of STIG compliance, RMF, and NIST 800-53 controls.
-Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

Desired:

-Azure or AWS certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AWS SysOps Admin).
-ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
-Experience using Tenable.sc, BigFix, or Qualys for vulnerability detection and patch prioritization.
-Working knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or Bash for patch automation.
-Experience supporting DHS, DoD, or other federal agencies.
-Familiarity with enterprise ticketing/change management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200-$158,100
