**Description of Duties:**
**We're looking for an Enterprise Management (EM) Deputy Director for Amentum's Missile Defense Division. The EM Deputy Director reports to the EM Director supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) Contract. The EM Deputy Director will implement the strategic vision set by the director, oversee daily business operations, and manage teams performing the following functions: contract administration, proposals, finance & accounting, subcontract administration, and procurement.**
**The candidate will provide management and support for the following:**
• **Leadership & Management:**
o Implement the strategic direction set by the director, translating broad goals into actionable plans
o Create an inclusive environment and champion career-enhancing opportunities and talent development
o Providing guidance and support to team leaders and individual contributors; support integration across all enterprise business functions and processes, with a focus on continuous improvement
o Develop and support strategies to drive disruptive change that rapidly accelerates the adoption of forward-looking automation and digital ecosystems for informed real-time decision making.
• **Operations:**
o Ensure the smooth functioning of daily operations, including team management and project management; develop and monitor business performance metrics and reporting, ensuring accountability and taking action to meet goals
o Advise on business trends, strategies, and policy implications, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the Missile Defense Division
o Ensure business systems and processes meet contract and corporate objectives; understand the audit manuals and scope of Earned Value Management System, Accounting System, and Purchasing System reviews, and coordinate with third-party auditors (both Government and industry) to provide effective audit outcomes
o Support Missile Defense Division and company outreach and communications (both internal to the company and with industry).
• **Customer Engagement:**
o Optimize customer visibility; interface with executive leadership, stakeholders, and customers; and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, data, and feedback, facilitating effective communication and alignment on key initiatives.
• **Business Development:**
o Support and collaborate with corporate resources in pursuit of on-contract growth/new business opportunities and participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives that drive business growth and operational excellence.
**The successful candidate will:**
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
• Be able to analyze complex situations and develop innovative solutions
• Be able to lead and motivate teams, influence decision-making, and drive changes
• Have excellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders, both internally and externally
• Be able to think strategically and contribute to long-term planning
• Have a strong understanding of business principles, market trends, and deploy business strategies for growth
**The position is based in Colorado Springs, CO and requires a minimum of 3 days, in-person work at the Amentum Office or customer site.**
**Nominal travel (up to 10%) is possible for this role.**

**Basic Requirements:**
• Must have 14, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
• Must have 9, or more, years of directly related experience in one or more of the following business areas: Government Contracting, Procurement, Finance, Project Management, and/or Customer Engagement/Relations
• Must have a Bachelor’s, or higher, degree
• Must have 4 years of experience working in a management or leadership role
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
This position is expected to pay **$190,000 - $215,000** annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
