Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a highly experienced individual to represent the interests of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Class Mission Package (MP) program as the **Enterprise Embark/Training Officer for Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF)** at Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme.
**What You'll Get To Do:**
The **Enterprise Embark/Training Officer** is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive embarkation (embark) and debarkation (debark) training programs across multiple work sites. This role ensures consistent, efficient, and safe embark/debark processes are followed, maximizing team performance and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Embark/Training Officer will develop and deliver training to site embark leads, site foremen, and other relevant personnel. This position requires extensive travel to various work sites.
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
**Embark Officer**
+ **Strategic Project Leadership:** Orchestrate comprehensive project management, planning, and forecasting for complex Mission Package equipment embarkation and debarkation operations. Develop and maintain critical documentation to ensure proper configuration management
+ **Technical Advisory:** Deliver expert technical guidance and feedback on installations, programs, and systems to optimize operational effectiveness
+ **Performance Analytics:** Compile and present strategic metrics, operational schedules, and milestone progress reports to senior leadership
+ **Navy Systems Expertise:** Leverage advanced knowledge of Navy programs of record, including:
+ Planned Maintenance System (PMS) via SKED 3.2 platform
+ Corrective Maintenance (CSMP) utilizing Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM)
+ Automated Work Number (AWN) job development and lifecycle management
+ **Team Leadership:** Direct and coordinate integrated teams of Northrop Grumman professionals and subcontractor personnel
**Training Officer**
+ **Leadership Development:** Mentor and coach site foremen to enhance their leadership capabilities and team training effectiveness
+ **Compliance Management** : Monitor and track completion of Job Training Requirements (JTRs) to ensure regulatory adherence
+ **Qualification Standards** : Establish and maintain embark/debark eligibility criteria and qualification rosters
+ **Operational Training** : Conduct hands-on instruction for proper embark/debark procedures and best practices. Ensure all technicians across multiple sites receive comprehensive, standardized training. Partner with enterprise training coordinators to develop and implement targeted training programs aligned with operational needs
+ **Performance Improvement** : Collaborate directly with site leaders to identify and address team performance gaps and communication barriers
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience; Master’s Degree with 3 year related experience; An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
+ Experience with the installation and removal of equipment from US Navy ships
+ Experience as an instructor and/or leading training teams
+ Experience related to maintenance and logistic support of Navy systems and equipment
+ US citizenship with a minimum of an active interim Secret security clearance required to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance for continued employment.
+ Must be willing to travel up to 25% both CONUS (continental U.S.) and OCONUS (outside the continental U.S.)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Practical working knowledge of LCS Class program
+ Experience as a Port Engineer supporting US Navy warships
+ Practical experience in Navy Maintenance and Material Management (3M), Preventive Maintenance, and Corrective Maintenance specifically SKED 3.2 and MFOM AWN respectively
+ Proven experience planning and executing preventative and corrective maintenance availability activities on U.S. Navy ships
Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
