Job Summary

The Enterprise Diagnostic (Imaging) Architect is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive diagnostic strategies that align with the organization’s business objective to manage all patient diagnostic data.  Focusing on the technical architecture of medical imaging and lab systems, pathology reports, and other clinical information. This role involves developing and managing diagnostic systems and solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, reliable, recoverable, and efficient.  The Enterprise Diagnostic (Imaging) Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate imaging solutions across various platforms and ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

Essential Functions

Develop and Execute the overall diagnostic & imaging strategy and corresponding roadmap in alignment with organizational goals. Design scalable and robust diagnostic & imaging solutions that meet stated business functional requirements and enterprise non-functional requirements. Evaluate and recommend new diagnostic & imaging technologies and tools to enhance system capabilities by providing status reports to executive leadership (IT and Business). Architect and oversee the integration of diagnostic/imaging systems with existing IT infrastructure. Create and maintain detailed documentation for imaging systems, including reference architectures, Statements of Direction (SoD), architecture diagrams (logical,/physical), data flow diagrams, configuration details, etc. Ensure that diagnostic solutions are compatible with other enterprise applications and databases along with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).  Expert level understanding of DICOM protocol, network architecture in support of an Enterprise Diagnostic implementation. In collaboration with IT engineering, project managers and other stakeholders, help to lead and manage imaging projects from concept through deployment, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the both functional and non-functional requirements of the business. Develop and enforce diagnostic standards and best practices across the organization. Work closely with internal IT teams, business units, and external vendors to ensure successful implementation and operation of imaging solutions. Business and Soft Skill expectations: Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.     Maintain complete confidentiality of company business. Communicate with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems (or other related field) or equivalent work experience required Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems (or other related field) or equivalent work experience preferred Duration: 10+ years of IT  Proven Experience (typically 7+ years) in IT Architecture with focus on diagnostic systems or enterprise imaging solutions. Activities: Designed, implemented, and/or administrated diagnostic technologies in a large distributed enterprise (HDO setting). Served as architecture or expert thought leader for diagnostic technologies and influenced the strategy to address internal or external business and regulatory issues with respect to protection of sensitive data. Worked in process-driven structured environments, and participated in process optimization activities. Competencies: Strong knowledge of diagnostic technologies, data management, and system integration. Proactive identification and solving of complex problems  Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle to provide technical leadership for multifunctional projects or initiatives.   Effective communication of technical concepts to a non-technical audience.   Excellent written and verbal communication skills
