Job Purpose The Power Platform Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, with a focus on Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate cloud flows, and Dataverse. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to analyze, automate, and optimize processes by leveraging Power Platform, SQL, Azure services, APIs, and custom connectors. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in developing scalable enterprise solutions, ensuring data security, compliance, and performance optimization. Responsibilities • Develop and optimize PowerApps solutions (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps) using Dataverse, SQL, and Azure data sources. • Implement and enhance Power Automate cloud flows, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and error-handling best practices. • Create and manage custom connectors and API integrations, integrating Microsoft and third-party services. • Leverage Power Platform extensibility features (PCF components, JavaScript, C# plugins) to meet business requirements. • Develop and maintain SQL-based integrations to optimize data transformations and retrieval for automation workflows. • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Azure services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Data Lake, API Management). • Implement secure, scalable data management strategies, following compliance and governance best practices. • Assist in data ETL processes for automation and reporting. • Collaborate with IT, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure all Power Platform solutions adhere to enterprise governance frameworks. • Implement role-based security and app lifecycle management (ALM) strategies. • Work with Agile teams to prioritize, plan, and track automation initiatives using Azure DevOps • Document technical specifications, workflows, and best practices for maintainability and knowledge sharing. • Partner with business teams to gather requirements, optimize workflows, and drive digital transformation. • Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote Power Platform adoption across the organization. • Stay updated on Power Platform advancements, including AI-powered automation and emerging technologies. • Research and recommend new automation strategies, including low-code/no-code approaches for business users. Qualifications • 4+ years of experience in Power Platform development, including Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate. • Strong proficiency in SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, data transformations). • Experience in API development and integration, leveraging REST APIs and Microsoft Graph. • Hands-on experience in Power Automate cloud flows, including exception handling and governance policies. • Proficiency in JavaScript, Power Fx, and C# plugins for extending Model-Driven Apps functionality. • Familiarity working with Microsoft Azure services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management). • Experience working in enterprise environments with Office 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft security models. • Ability to work in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe) and use DevOps tools for work tracking and CI/CD deployment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Other Skills • Experience with Copilot and AI Builder in Power Platform for automating workflows and enhancing user experience and business processes with AI. • Power BI integration skills, including report builds and embedding reports and dashboards in Power Apps. • Power Pages for developing external-facing portals and applications. • Python for automation and data transformation. • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or CI/CD strategies for Power Platform applications. • Understanding of UX principles to enhance app usability and adoption.
