Enterprise Architect

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an enterprise architect to shape the digital strategy and target technology ecosystem. In this role, the enterprise architect will drive the creation of the target architecture towards business capabilities that are modular, composable cloud-native services on modernized infrastructure. The enterprise architect will partner with domain architects to design target banking platforms lending to reuse, resiliency, agility, and customer centricity.

The enterprise architect will be a passionate technologist that can go broad as well as deep – must have the experience to operate across the enterprise through the understanding of available technology and tools and be an expert in the solution architecture practice. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment and possess excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and reasoning skills.

In this role, you will:

Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groupsLead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinkingTranslate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutionsProvide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutionsMaintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organizationStrategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadershipLead the development of strategy for capabilities across the bank and influence target state architectures with forward-looking architecture principles, data management, and modern technologyCredibly challenge line of business / domain architecture on alignment to enterprise goalsContribute to forward-looking policies, patterns, standards, non-functional requirements, methodologies and industry best practices and work with domain architects to promote adherenceProvide leadership and guidance at architecture councils, review boards and internal and external architecture forumsPerform enterprise and portfolio-level analysis to drive investment analysis, rationalization, and convergence strategiesSupport data center migration efforts and understand full stack architecture to migrate dependencies accordinglyProduce enterprise architecture specifications and documents using industry standard modeling languages and toolsDrive efforts to ensure resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance of architecture solutionsStay current with technology innovations and industry best practices and apply across the enterprise, where valuableTransform the Architecture practice


Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education7+ years of architecture in one or a combination of the following areas: enterprise architecture, solution architecture, application architecture, infrastructure or security, or security architecture7+ years of experience creating architecture strategy, designs, and patterns7+ years of software development experience2+ years of experience with architecting solutions using leading vendor solutions and in-house developed systems

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior managementAbility to negotiate/challenge, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationshipsKnowledge and understanding of applications technology management role, including managing applications development and support for multiple systems and business functionsAbility to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolutionAbility to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs3+ years of experience using industry standards such as BAG, BIAN, TOGAF and architecture modeling languages such as ArchiMate, UML, BPMN, etc. leveraging BizzDesign HorizzonBachelor’s and/or master’s in computer science or information systemsPrior related experience leading and/or managing architecture strategies with architecture roadmap that aligns with business strategy and objectivesDeep understanding of cloud technologies (GCP, Azure) and familiarity with data center exit strategiesGood analytical skills to set data driven insights with high attention to detail and accuracyLead application consolidation and rationalization efforts and the related emerging technology assessments

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
