Overview Overview: Saddlebrook Preparatory School is looking for a certified High School English teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The position requires the instructor to teach High School English courses. Saddlebrook Prep School is located on the beautiful grounds of Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Florida. SPS is an international college preparatory school, serving boarding and non-boarding student-athletes that come from 18 different nations around the world. Our students also participate in world-class athletic training in either golf or tennis. Saddlebrook Prep students are 100% college bound, with many earning academic and athletic scholarships to their chosen universities. The professional expectations for all faculty members include: use of high-engagement strategies, excellent organizational skills, and a student-centered approach to education. Our low teacher-to-student ratios, (average class of 8:1), provide students with more direct interaction with teachers and allow for greater long-term retention of content and use of higher order thinking. We seek a passionate educator join our highly dedicated and friendly staff, in a beautiful resort setting, while preparing our international student-athletes for college and beyond. This position’s work agreement is from August 25, 2025 to June 10, 2026. SPS Website: www.saddlebrookprep.com Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Education/English · Holds current state professional certification (grades 6-12) · 3+ Years of high school teaching experience · Instructional Rating of “Effective”, or higher, on previous performance evaluations · Previous instructional experience using Standards based instruction and best practices instructional strategies · Previous ESOL training or ESOL certification and able to assist students in a 1:1 capacity · Technologically competent, able to use various forms of technology in lessons · Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and highly-organized · Works well in a team environment Highly Desired Qualifications: · Master’s degree in Education/English · Holds Florida professional certification for English grades 6-12 and an ESOL endorsement/certification · 5+ years of previous teaching experience with High School English · Previously employed in a public or private high school · Experience with PBL approaches and providing differentiated instruction for students · Experience with IEP/504/ESOL accommodations · Previous teaching experience using various forms of technology · Experience chairing school committees and/or presenting professional development to staff · Previous experience interdisciplinary and thematic instruction - lessons, activities, and projects · Meets or exceeds teaching credentials required by FCIS and Cognia **Please submit applications and resumes through Saddlebrook Resort website – Careers – www.saddlebrook.com and the school administration will contact you if an interview is requested.
