Engineers - System Performance Analysis (multiple positions)

**Job Description**
**What You'll Do:**
+ Conduct system performance analysis and provide solutions to support planning, operations, engineering, regulatory and financial needs of the company.
+ Perform electrical engineering studies related to power system stability, reliability, and compliance.
+ Perform transient and voltage stability studies, insulation coordination studies, electromagnetic field studies, and studies of geomagnetically induced currents and geomagnetic disturbance.
+ Perform power-flow analyses in support of system stability, system restoration, and geomagnetic disturbance analyses.
+ Develop and maintain power system and geomagnetic disturbance models, and calculate electromagnetic interference for overhead and underground transmission lines.
**What We Are Looking For:**
Requirements:
Master’s degree in an ABET* accredited electrical engineering program focused in power systems and 1 year of work experience or graduate level coursework/research to demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the following:
+ Power flow modeling and analysis
+ Transient power system modeling and simulations using PSCAD, RSCAD or Matlab
+ Power system stability and reliability studies and analysis
+ Load flow and fault studies
+ Python programming
+ PSSE or PowerWorld modeling
*ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Non-ABET accredited advanced degree in electrical engineering must be from, or be accompanied by an advanced degree from, a university with an ABET accredited bachelor degree program in electrical engineering.
**Compensation Range:** $89,627 to $127,624 annually
The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
