As a member of the Technical Development and Testing team, the Engineering Test Technician is responsible for supporting the development and testing of various water quality products, conducting experiments, testing formulations, and documenting results to help bring innovative products to life. This hands-on role also involves working with the Production and Technical team to test product quality on existing water treatment units and systems.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Set up and conduct experiments and testing procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.Test prototypes to verify products performance and reliability.Develop and improve test capabilities for water filtration and conditioning systems .Assist with construction of product prototypes and test apparatuses.Set up and conducts all regulatory tests (NSF,ANSI)Analyze indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specificationsRecord test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methodKeep laboratory management and key project stakeholders updated on progress.Follow good laboratory practices and safety procedures.Participates in new product launch, part drawing, prototype and production tool drawing.Assist the engineering department in resolving product issues or production difficulties.Support quality control by testing raw materials and finished products.Helps trouble shoot equipment, provides technical support, facilities and processes daily activities and major projects.EDUCATION:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school required or equivalent experienceEngineering or Technical Related Education preferredQUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Production Testing or Product Development Experience with testing process and systems knowledgeExperience with test equipment set up and plumbingExperience with laboratory equipment such as pH meters, hot plates, propeller mixers, etc.Strong creative thinking, technical writing, and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of handling multiple projects at once.Proficient in applying mathematical concepts like fractions, percentages, and ratios to real-world situations.*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
