To support our rapid growth, CoolSys Energy Design (CED) is in search of an experienced Engineering Technology Development Specialist to join our team! Our ideal candidate will support the design, development, and documentation of integrated building systems under the mentorship of senior engineering staff. This includes preparing schematics, developing design documentation, and contributing to smart infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities Support the development of system layouts and technical documentation for commercial, retail, and industrial facilities. Generate and revise detailed AutoCAD/Revit drawings based on redlines and design inputs from senior engineers. Apply knowledge of power distribution, low voltage systems, and life safety infrastructure to support design initiatives. Develop automation for calculations and system planning. Communication and data infrastructure layouts Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with energy codes, safety standards, and project timelines. Contribute to engineering documentation including single-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment schedules. Assist with utility coordination, design reviews, and local code compliance assessments. Participate in site visits and field verification efforts to support design accuracy and constructability. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline. EIT Certification strongly preferred. 2–5 years of engineering experience. Revit experience required Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD (Revit knowledge a plus). Interest in emerging technologies such as smart systems, renewable integration, or digital twin modeling.
