Your role as an Engineering Technologists II positions you to be directly involved in the physical production that enables Baxter to fulfill our mission to save and sustain lives. You lead the line between meeting production timelines and making quality products. As a manager, you are the trusted critical connection between the business and the workers on the floor.

The Engineering Technologist II will focus on the implementation and adaptation of existing technologies on automation and associated processes in a manufacturing environment. What you'll be doing

Provides engineering support to the manufacturing group by fixing, and making improvements to equipment and processes.

Electrical - Fixes automation systems and complex sophisticated through PLC, servo, robotic, HMI/MMI, and related process control and automation systemsMechanical – Fixes mechanical systems associated with automation and manufacturing processesLeads large scope projects independently with minimal assistanceProvides Engineering leadership within a project team which focuses on accomplishing project objectives which includes process improvements and project implementation. Installs, validates, and implements medium to large scope equipment modifications and capital projectsInvestigates and analyzes customer problems and develops design improvement suggestionsPerforms hardware/software modifications, and documents system functional specification updates while adhering to documentation and change control requirementsElectrical - Prepares standard operating procedures for new and existing control equipmentMechanical - Prepares standard operating procedures for new and existing control equipmentOwns the cost estimating of minor process improvements and capital budget items and the spending of approved project fundsThe individual will need to be self-motivated and be able to work independently as well as within a multi-functional group to implement and/or lead medium to large scoped process improvement projectsDemonstrated project management skillsSustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principlesLearn, understand and apply meticulous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

What you'll bring5 years of experienceBachelor Degree in engineering project management or engineer technology.Must be at least 18 years of ageTQM methods,/Six SigmaProject ManagementCAD/ 3D designUnderstand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more visible with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $88,000-$121,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
