POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing organization at our Renewal by Andersen location in Cottage Grove, MN.  Primary focus will be on monitoring, controlling, and improving existing manufacturing processes, and to ensure customer and business needs are met. 

POSITION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processes  Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance to solve issues   Troubleshoot problems with other technical employees, suppliers, and outside experts  Become the SME on specialty processes on supported lines  Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving  Create training tools, documents, and standard operating procedures for production processes  Provide training, instruction, and guidance to production associates  Partner with the Safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements  Participate in continuous improvement activities and events  Present technical information or proposals to team members  Accurately assess ergonomic conditions within the manufacturing environment and provide practical solutions to eliminate ergonomic risk  Offer assistance/mentor for less experienced technical employees  Conduct testing related to introducing product improvements into the manufacturing process  Responsible for supporting the implementation and stabilization of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

2-year degree in technical field or equivalent experience  10+ years of experience preferred with mechanical aptitude  Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principals  Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills  Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills  Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor)  Some travel during on-boarding would be valuable, primary location Cottage Grove, MN 

POSITION NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

4-year degree in technical field or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing High Mechanical aptitude General PLC programming logic knowledge Strong math, science, mechanical and experimental skills. Understanding of the basic principles and operation of a work area, with a growing ability to apply them in a variety of assignmentsExtensive knowledge and experience with CNC machining, industrial fabrication equipment and tooling knowledge; processing composites, wood and metals

COMPENSATION: 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. 

Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $68,000 - $102,000 annually.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
