**Location:** 1941 Stryker Way, Portage, MI **Shift** : Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, flexibile **Summary:** The Engineering Technician constructs, assembles, and repairs equipment and/or prototype products. Using Additive manufacturing and Subtractive manufacturing techniques, you will create and modify prototype products for New Product Development. **What You Will Do:** + Build experimental apparatus, instrumentation, or systems of moderate complexity. + Construct and inspect components and subassemblies of experimental equipment or prototype models. + Work from engineering schematics, technical drawings, and/or verbal instructions. + Coordinate with senior/staff technicians or direct manager to prioritize tasks and scheduling. + Submit periodic progress reports to supervisor on assigned projects. + Adhere to documentation and procedural compliance standards. **What You Need:** + High School Diploma + 2+ years related machining, manufacturing, and technical experience + Ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), power tools and common test equipment (e.g. data loggers, strip recorders, micrometers, etc.) + Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently Health benefits include: Medical and prescription drug insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, personalized healthcare support, wellbeing program and tobacco cessation program.
