Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for observing, monitoring, and reporting results of engine or vehicle tests using computer-controlled systems to measure engine lubricant, fuel, or engine performance. The role requires following written and verbal instructions, calibrating test equipment for measuring engine performance at specific time intervals, maintaining log files of various test types according to test procedures, preparing, extracting, and labeling specimens as described in the test procedures/instructions, and performing routine maintenance of engines.
ResponsibilitiesObserve, monitor, and report results of engine or vehicle tests using computer-controlled systems.Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Calibrate test equipment at specific time intervals to measure engine performance.Maintain log files of various test types in accordance with test procedures.Prepare, extract, and label specimens as described in test procedures.Perform routine maintenance of engines.Essential Skills1-2 years of experience working with automotive vehicles or parts.Knowledge of basic math functions.Understanding of automotive engines, fluids, and parts.Ability to use and interpret engine manuals.Capability to lift 50lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in calibration, maintenance, and engine testing.Familiarity with MS Office.Willingness to work on any shift.Work Environment
The work environment is a lab setting where the candidate will be monitoring engines and fluids. Ear protection and a lab coat will be provided. The candidate must be flexible to work on any of the following shifts: 12am-8:30am, 8am-4:30pm, or 4pm-12:30am
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.50/hr.
