We have an outstanding Contract position for a Engineering Technician to join a leading Company located in the Palm Bay, FL.**US Citizenship is required.** **Candidate must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.**
Job Responsibilities:  Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.Fully proficient in supporting individual contributors.Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise.Assignments are moderately difficult, requiring some judgment.Works under limited supervision. Less detailed instructions are provided and minimal peer review is required.Communicates with contacts, typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. May be a resource to other employees in areas of proficiency.Work may be structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Resolves most issues.Works to achieve operational targets within job area, which has a moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is of moderate scope, typically on larger, task-related activities.Support of Space Vehicle satellite manufacturingIndividual contributor responsibilities with limited supervision Following engineering drawings and defined manufacturing processes.Navigating and working to paperless work instructions (MES)Lead complex tasks when needed. Contribute to pre task briefingsFlexibility to work overtime/nights/weekends and alternate shiftsCable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/dmate operationsMechanical assembly and test of space hardware, including ESD sensitive hardware.System-level hardware integration.Rigging/overhead crane and forklift operation, Preparation for and conducting system-level hardware testing (deployments, environment testing, etc.).Performing system-level alignments to meet system requirementsField support for launch vehicle integrationMove equipment weighing 45 pounds or less from one place to another.Repetitive movements during specified durations. Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware.
Basic Hiring Criteria:Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. 
Desired Qualifications:Experience using torque driver, power supply.Small hand tools.Mixing and applying adhesives.
