Position Overview:

The Engineer Technician is responsible for developing, implementing, reviewing, and improving the production process for the OCTE/Dry Plant Equipment. In this position, you will be designing, verifying, validating, and troubleshooting the processes. The successful candidate is a creative problem solver who can effectively collaborate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders (Quality, Operations, Program Management, etc.).

Responsibilities and Duties: 

Responsibilities and Duties: Maintaining production Test sets and & equipment by monitoring the periodical MV runs using Test standards/Characterization units. Monitor and disposition Test incident forms in collaboration with the Test engineers. Participate in the review of Test work instructions and also generate RFDs. Work directly with Test engineers in your area to provide support in FMA activities, Test set build or upgrades. Participate in failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA, PFMEA, DFMEA) to establish and maintain stable processes. Monitor and evaluate quality data (FPY, MV Charts, KPI) and develop methods to improve testing process issues. Participate in continuous improvements in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Support root cause corrective action activities using structured practices such as DMAIC or 8D or A3 forms in collaboration with the Test engineers. Willingness to be trained in E/O product Test data report. Participate in and implement 5S+1 processes and layout in your work area. Perform other duties as assigned.  Assist in training production personnel on new products, equipment and processes.   Conduct trials for the department. This includes gathering data and analyzing information.   Ensure all database information and reporting is both timely and accurate.  Help remedy malfunctions in collaboration with Engineering and Production.   Assist the department in the startup and evaluation of new products and processes.  Work with Test Engineers to implement process improvements.   Identify and report safety issues to proper channels
