Engineering Technician
Job Title: Engineering Technician Job Description As an Engineering Technician, you will collaborate closely with engineers to develop test procedures, troubleshoot/install equipment. You will also be responsible for generating detailed drawing packages for the manufacturing and assembly of products, performing analysis on the interaction between machine components, and evaluating fits and tolerances. You will also have the opportunity to produce and assemble prototypes and samples, contributing to the design of industrial equipment. Responsibilities + Collaborate with engineers to develop 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks. + Create detailed drawing packages for product manufacturing and assembly. + Perform analysis on the interaction between machine components and evaluate fits and tolerances. + Produce and assemble prototypes and samples. + Install/Troubleshoot equipment + Must be able to lift 50 lbs, hands on installation Essential Skills + Experience in sheet metal fabrication, machining, and plastics manufacturing. + Knowledge of tolerances and tolerancing in machine design. + Skill in assembly and troubleshooting equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Hands-on experience with machining, metal fabrication (sheet metal, tubing, weldments), and plastics. + Experience in prototype assembly and new product development. Work Environment You will work in a dynamic manufacturing site alongside 3 engineers, with no designers present. The environment includes office areas on the floor where you'll support engineers with the design and drafting of various machined components. The company specializes in manufacturing AC duct equipment and components, including machined components and sheet metal brackets. The equipment you will work on is automated and comprises complex machinery with dimensions of 6ft by 12ft wide, consisting of approximately 150 parts. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
