Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description

Join an exciting opportunity as an Engineering Technician where you will be involved with setting up and troubleshooting surface-mount technology (SMT) machines. Your role will include basic programming, rework experience, and handling capacitors and components. You will support the entire department and work with similar equipment lines used by major companies. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience is required, with a high school diploma being essential.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and troubleshoot SMT machines with a focus on component-level troubleshooting.Support the department and eventually handle equipment such as Fuji.Assist senior engineers in executing customer projects and collecting data for reports.Work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.Develop and execute test plans and support engineering builds.Essential SkillsMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/production environments.High school diploma required; AA or AS degree preferred.Proficiency in arithmetic including decimals and fractions.Intermediate computer skills, including Excel, SAP, and Outlook.Ability to train others effectively.Capability to handle small parts and tools with fine motor skills.Close vision, color vision, and depth perception; 20/20 corrected vision may be required.Additional Skills & QualificationsIPC 610 or J standard certifications preferred.Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma principles.Eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment.Work Environment

The role offers a 12-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full-time. You'll have 10 paid holidays and 5 days of accrued PTO. Work schedules include 1st shift starting from 7-8 am and 2nd shift starting from 1-2 pm. The position requires standing or sitting for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 pounds.5

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.86 - $32.32/hr.
