Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician who is comfortable working with large structures. This role requires an individual who thrives on variety and is eager to tackle new challenges frequently. The position involves working with common hand tools and performing a variety of routine tasks while demonstrating a solid understanding of laboratory equipment and procedures. The role also entails working on systems with unusual conditions such as high pressure, high voltage, cryogens, or radioactive materials. Additionally, knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field is required.
ResponsibilitiesWork on large structures and adapt to new tasks frequently.Utilize common hand tools for various tasks.Perform routine tasks with laboratory equipment and procedures.Work with systems under unusual conditions such as high pressure and high voltage.Demonstrate knowledge of computer operations and applications relevant to the field.Essential SkillsProficiency in mechanical skills and schematic interpretation.Ability to use an oscilloscope and perform repairs.Blueprint reading and soldering expertise.Assembly and engineering troubleshooting.Experience in prototype development and following work instructions.Competence in using a multimeter and hand tools, including wrenches and torque tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical inclination and ability to work hands-on.Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.Work Environment
The position is onsite in Tupelo, MS, with a shift-based schedule. The work environment involves hands-on tasks and may require working under special conditions. Dress code and attire are suited for a technical and industrial setting
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
