Job Title: Wire Bond TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a skilled Wire Bond Technician with a preference for experience in wire bond operations, including ball and wedge wire bonding. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with K&S wire bond equipment, proficiency in intermediate computer skills, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings. Responsibilities + Operate wire bond equipment and perform wire bonding tasks. + Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings. + Utilize intermediate computer skills for tasks involving typing, Excel, SAP, and Outlook. + Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds, and engage in movements such as bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching. + Troubleshoot electronics and mechanical issues, such as sensor failures and wire breaks. + Follow prompts on machines and execute step-by-step processes to set up new programs. Essential Skills + Mechanical aptitude and electronics troubleshooting skills. + Experience in wire bonding or automated equipment setup within the electronics industry. + Manual dexterity for handling small pieces, akin to working with a sewing needle. + Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English. + Proficiency in arithmetic, including working with decimals and fractions. Additional Skills & Qualifications + AA or AS degree preferred; high school diploma required. + 4-5+ years of related experience or equivalent education and experience in a manufacturing/production setting. + Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma principles preferred. + Ability to use a microscope for detailed work. + Willingness to wear cleanroom apparel and PPE, including finger cots and masks. + Eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment. Work Environment The role requires wearing cleanroom apparel and PPE. The work schedule includes 10 paid holidays and 5 days of accrued PTO. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time. The position offers an exciting opportunity to join a team diversifying into the chip-making industry.
