The incumbent is required to possess the following specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as maintain the following licensing: •Class D Chauffeur's License at time of appointment •Class B CDL License prior to permanent status •Drug Test is required. •Will need to perform basic computer work. •May require work operations that occur outside of normal work hours. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a high school diploma or GED. SUBSTITUTIONS: Six months of experience in sub-professional engineering, heavy mobile equipment operation, or mobile equipment maintenance will substitute for the high school diploma or GED. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties and Other Information : Job Duties: + Operates the Geotechnical Explorations Drilling Rig and Cone Penetrometer Truck (LECOPS). + Sets up and dismantles drill rig and ECPT truck; Sets up and dismantles Traffic Control Devices. + Drives Drill Rig, ECPT truck, tank truck, or utility truck to and from job sites. + Extrudes samples from Shelby tubing, assembling and breaking down split-spoon drive barrels, and cleaning samplers for future use. + Maintains the department's Geotechnical Exploration equipment and vehicles.
