Position overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Scheduler to orchestrate and optimize our engineering projects from inception to delivery. The ideal candidate combines proven experience in engineering project management with expert-level proficiency in Agile methodologies and Jira.

In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project schedules, manage resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of engineering initiatives. Your ability to translate complex project requirements into clear, actionable timelines while maintaining flexibility for changing priorities will be essential to our team's success.


What your day may look like:

Build and maintain detailed project schedules that align with engineering deliverables and milestones.Partner with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and resource needs.Apply Agile methodologies to manage sprint planning, backlogs, and release timelines.Track resource allocation and adjust plans as priorities evolve.Use Jira to manage tasks, monitor progress, and ensure project data is always current.Lead regular schedule reviews and provide clear, actionable updates to stakeholders.Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.Identify scheduling risks and proactively resolve conflicts or bottlenecks.Continuously improve scheduling processes and tools to drive efficiency and clarity.


What will make you successful in this role:

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.Demonstrated experience as an Engineering Scheduler or in a similar role within engineering, production, or technology environments.A solid understanding of Agile frameworks and how to apply them effectively in real-world projects. Proven experience using Jira for scheduling, task tracking, and workflow management.Demonstrated strength in managing competing priorities while delivering high-quality results on time.Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to solving problems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.


What would make you thrive:

Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, PMI-ACP).Experience in the transportation or mobility industry.Familiarity with other project management tools and software.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA $69,200 - $85,000 per year. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
