Type: Contract
Compensation: $72 - $90 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity with an onsite work model. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting critical test and experimental activities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and experimental teams to deliver essential data that supports important project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the planning and execution of project work scope alongside relevant engineering or experimental leads. Assist the testing and experiment project team in achieving project tasks and deliverables while adhering to budget and schedule constraints. Monitor, analyze, track, and report on project cost, schedule, and scope progress using earned value (EV) data. Conduct administrative duties, including organizing meetings, drafting invoices, and preparing drawing estimates. Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure clarity on project details and deliverables. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal Project Manager efficiently and in an organized manner. Conduct critical path analysis for test activities within the project schedule.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical role, project management role, or a combination of both, with responsibility for technical tasks and project management duties. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field. Experience in the project management of lab/test activities is preferred, while experience in software development project management is less favored. Proficient in developing project budgets and resource-loaded schedules. Strong communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills. Ability to quickly adapt and learn new software and processes. Demonstrated capability to understand objectives and work with stakeholders to enhance processes or systems for improved efficiency. A PMP or AACE certification is highly preferred. Experience with project management tools such as Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6 is advantageous. A strong technical background, particularly in engineering management, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will exhibit a high degree of trust, integrity, and respect while fostering teamwork.
