Job Description
As an Engineering Program Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects and programs. You will oversee multiple projects, ensure alignment with company objectives, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive projects to success.
Responsibilities
+ Interpreting program requirements and creating high-resolution project plans for new military, law enforcement, and commercial products.
+ Coordinating with project teams to maintain project timelines and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
+ Organizing and leading regular meetings to convey program milestones, updates, and expectations to team members.
+ Ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between departments such as Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, and Procurement.
+ Maintaining clear, consistent, and transparent communication with all stakeholders, including senior leadership, project teams, and external partners.
+ Identifying and monitoring program risks, issues, and key decisions in a RAID log, resolving or mitigating program obstacles, and escalating issues to management as needed.
+ Developing, documenting, maintaining, and continuously improving processes as they relate to department responsibilities, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Reviewing and approving engineering drawings and bill of materials.
+ Performing other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
+ 4+ years of program or project management experience in a product development or manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T.
+ Strong leadership and organizational skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Project management certification is highly desired.
+ Experience in PTC Creo or SolidWorks is highly desired.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
+ Experience in technical project management, product development process, mechanical engineering, military, firearms, automotive industry.
+ PMP certification is a plus.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Hartford, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
