Job Summary

Responsible for participating as an individual contributor in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, new product implementation, implementing existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Interfaces with vendors, engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

BS in Engineering/Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience.A passion for investigating issues, driving towards resolutions and effective problem solving3-5 years of SRE experience in the technology sector supporting and maintaining production-quality software or software-defined infrastructure in a high traffic environment run in a cloud environments (AWS preferred)3+ years of experience in a support/analysis roleWorking experience with Linux System AdministrationSolid understanding of Networking fundamentals, the OSI model, subnetting, basic network troubleshootingExperience scripting in Python or shell languages.Experience with deployment automation in within AWS-hosted services (Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible)Managing code revisions, conflicts in GitHUB

Required Skills:

Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, or Jenkins) and best practices.Experience with containerization and orchestration services such as EKS, K9S, and DockerExperience in designing, analyzing and building automation and tools for large scale systemsExperience and comfort with continuous delivery/frequent releases of code to productionA methodical and logical approach to reasoning about problems and system interactivityWillingness and ability to prioritize business needs to meet short-term demandsProfessional experience using modern log/metric aggregation software (e.g. Cloudwatch, Elasticsearch + Kibana, Splunk, Grafana)
