**Engineering Mechanic** Engineering Countryside, IL, US Pay Rate Low: 35 | Pay Rate High: 40 + Added - 27/08/2025 Apply for Job **Pay** : $35-40/hr **Shift:** 1st shift ~9a-5p M-f **Terms** : 6+ month contract (possibility of conversion perm) **Essential duties and responsibilities to include but are not limited to:** + Assist the site Engineering Director and CI Technician to develop ideas for improving line uptime, reduce crewing and/or increase line speed. + Develop and execute solutions on existing packaging lines and processes to support plant initiatives + Fabricate or oversee the fabrication of parts. + Maintain equipment in safe operating condition. + Welding for equipment repair or fabrication. + Perform minor electrical installation and control work + Communicate information with other team members and supervisors daily. + Repair equipment breakdowns using diagnosis and troubleshooting techniques with the aid of equipment manuals and blueprints. + Initiate changes and modifications to equipment for safety, ease of operation, and efficiency. + Inform the MRO clerk of recommendations for appropriate spare parts. + Comply with the company safety rules, and standard operating procedures and follow GMP guidelines. + Other responsibilities as assigned by the Department Manager. **Work Environment:** + The work environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
