Purpose of Role: Purpose of this role is to lead Regional Engineering for the engineering requirements of North America and Latin America region.

Key Responsibilities:
Managing Engineering across North America region from Weir EnSci
Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures.
Improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and designs, and to reduce waste.
Manages staff and assigns projects to engineering and technical personnel
Resolve customer complaints to the full satisfaction of the customer.
Assist in the generation of budgets, technical proposals and cost estimates.
Lead the evaluation of design IPs, and work with external and internal IP partners.
Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to engineering staff.
Communicate plans, status, and issues to higher management levels.
Provide general peer to peer training support to those new to department.
Maintain and review quality and key KPIs
Make recommendations for hiring, performance improvement and promoting of employees.
Lead the team to begin to leverage automation and other Engineering Efficiency tools and processes.
Available to provide the inputs to any action items, deliverables, etc.
Set and maintain product technical vision and technical roadmap.
Define, manage and evaluate team members on goals and performance metrics.
Participate in teams working on opportunities to promote engineering excellence.
Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate business problem statements into technical solutions.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Four-year Engineering degree in mechanical or allied disciplines with or without Master’s Degree in Management
12 to 20 years of experience with minimum of 2 years’ experience in team management
Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
Strong Technical knowledge in a particular domain or product like pumps
Managed engineering efficiency programs across domain and implemented the same.
Managed teams across multiple regions along with managing global programs.
Led initiative like, innovation, DEI. Sustainability etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
Ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Mentoring and talent hiring and development experience
Good understanding of business and market
Proficiency with various Weir I.T. systems e.g. Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teamcenter, Citrix, is assumed and required for this role.
