A leading provider of automated test solutions for aerospace, defense, and other high-reliability industries is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead both mechanical and electrical engineering teams. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on the design, development, and integration of advanced hardware systems for mission-critical applications.
Role OverviewAs the Engineering Manager, you will guide multidisciplinary engineering teams in delivering innovative electromechanical solutions. You’ll be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, mentoring talent, and ensuring technical excellence across all phases of product development.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Set direction and lead engineering efforts aligned with business goals and customer needs. Drive projects from concept through completion.Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team. Promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Product Innovation: Oversee the design and development of cutting-edge hardware systems that meet diverse and demanding requirements.Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to integrate engineering solutions into broader business strategies. Manage global and remote teams effectively.Project & Resource Management: Optimize resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance in mechanical and electrical design, integration, and performance validation.End-to-End Product Development: Lead the full lifecycle from requirements capture to design, testing, documentation, and transition to manufacturing.Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards (ASME, ISO, EMC) and promote best practices in design and manufacturing.QualificationsLeadership Experience: Proven track record in engineering management with the ability to inspire and lead multidisciplinary teams.Mechanical Engineering Skills:Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, and 3D scanning tools.Experience with electromechanical system design and additive manufacturing.Electrical Engineering Skills:Expertise in analog and high-speed digital circuit design, including PCB layout.Familiarity with simulation tools (LTSpice, HyperLynx) and high-speed interfaces (USB 3.x, PCIe, Ethernet).Project Management: Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects. Jira proficiency required.Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.Master’s degree (MSME, MSEE, MBA, MEM) preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware design (mechanical and electrical).Minimum of 5 years in engineering management leading cross-functional teams.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
