Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Engineering Manager. This position is ONSITE M-F 8:00-5:00 at our Omaha NE Eaton facility. This position also offers relocation assistance, if needed.
The Engineering Manager will plan and oversee Eaton’s Omaha Power Center’s Medium Voltage Switchgear Engineered to Order (ETO) team, including Customer Order Engineering (COE), Customer Order Design (COD), and Maintenance of Line. This includes both air insulated and gas insulated switchgear products, where you will provide technical oversight and guidance to the engineering and manufacturing teams. In addition, you will manage and oversee the engineering scheduling processes and drawing delivery schedules to satisfy customer and production planning requirements. On a daily basis, you will collaborate with all plant functions and will drive instrumental change to our design standards, engineering processes and digital automation journey.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year.

**What you’ll do:**
**In this role:**
• Oversee and manage the electrical and mechanical definition and design of Medium Voltage Switchgear (air and gas insulated) products to meet customer and manufacturing schedules.
• Oversee the Front-End team’s continuous improvement efforts, focusing on engineering quality and productivity as well as benefits to supply chain and manufacturing departments.
• Support the SIOP process balancing engineering capacity against customer, supply chain and production demands, driving key performance indicators associated with Quality, On time delivery, Productivity, and Inventory.
• Daily interaction and support of the Manufacturing Operations team, participating in production reviews and challenges, supporting the resolution and assisting with customer escalations.
• Drive engineering projects related to yearly cost out and inventory reduction targets.
• Develop and coordinate communication channels with sales and customers that will ensure the timely and accurate exchange of information relating to product quality, delivery, and service.
• Develop & maintain knowledge and expertise with the Medium Voltage Switchgear products, engineering processes and tools, competitor capabilities and practices, market conditions, and market channels in order to support engineering, marketing and sales strategies for the company.
• Support customer visits and inspections at the facility to ensure a positive experiece and act as a liaison for the manufacturing team.
• As a member of the plant staff, ensure alignment with the Leadership team and the associated plans and strategies.
• Through the Maintenance of Line team, oversee the electronic product structure database within the plant. This includes managing manufacturing information, routing and preparation for manufacturing; analyze and implement projects for product quality improvements.
• Oversee the training and development plan for all Font-End functions. Ensure that the training, instruction and guidance is performed in a timely manner and is aligned with strategic plans.
**Qualifications:**
**Required (Basic) Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years managing people
• Minimum of 5 years of combined experience with Electrical Distribution & Control products in Engineering, OR Sales or Project Management capacities.
• Must be willing to relocate to Omaha NE. Relocation assistance will be provided, if needed.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing plant, preferably for an engineered or configured to order business.
• Demonstrated experience with Eaton’s products and engineering systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
