Duties Responsibilities
· Supervises repair, maintenance, and engineering operations in accordance with departmental standards.
· Modifies installations to reduce material waste and ensure ease of future maintenance.
· Ensures compliance with local regulations and codes while avoiding unsightly hazards.
· Carries out repair and maintenance tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and service areas to maintain the hotel in good condition.
· Regularly inspects the entire building, paying special attention to defective or deficient life safety features and difficult-to-access areas.
· Effectively manages the Preventive Maintenance Programme.
· Implements energy conservation measures within operational areas.
· Ensures the functionality of all fire, life, and safety systems.
· Maintains cleanliness and proper operation of the swimming pool and plunge pools.
· Reviews and approves all invoices and purchase requests related to technical services, installations, machinery, parts, and audiovisual equipment.
· Collaborates with other departments in a supportive and flexible manner to ensure overall hotel success and guest satisfaction.
· Helps develop the skills and abilities of engineering team members through training, coaching, and mentoring.
· Conducts annual Performance Development Discussions and supports team members in achieving their professional development goals.
· Ensures all team members understand and comply with employee rules and regulations.
· Enforces adherence to hotel, company, and local safety, fire, and security policies and procedures.
· Supports the implementation of improvements based on Employee Engagement Survey feedback.
· Attends and actively participates in required training sessions and meetings.
· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of statutory legislation related to employee and industrial relations.
· Builds and maintains strong, professional relationships with representatives from competitor hotels, business partners, and relevant organizations.
· Complies with all hotel rules and policies, particularly those related to computer systems, fire safety, hygiene, health, and safety.
· Upholds high standards of personal grooming and presentation.
· Adapts to changes in the Engineering function as required by the industry, company, or hotel.

Qualifications
· Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
· 5–7 years’ experience in hotel/facility engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
· Strong knowledge of MEP systems, BMS, and preventive maintenance.

· Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
