Engineering Manager
Job Title: Engineering ManagerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Manager to lead a team of project engineers in the development of a proprietary line of products. The ideal candidate will manage product revisions, interact with customers to meet their specifications, and ensure design conformance with ISO regulations. This role requires handling multiple customer requests, aiding in product costing, and maintaining a secure digital document format. Responsibilities + Lead and manage a team of project engineers. + Handle product revisions based on customer's change order requests. + Interact with customers to ensure product design meets their specifications. + Design in conformance with ISO regulations and standards. + Serve multiple customers actively and accommodate their product requests. + Assist with costing of new products to establish MSRP. + Update and maintain a weekly engineering schedule. + Facilitate inter-department communication with associates and leadership. + Maintain documents in a secure digital format. + Provide support to the Manufacturing, SMARTFLOW®, and Sales teams. + Perform multiple tasks and manage various projects simultaneously. + Follow safety guidelines established by the company, including proper use of equipment and procedures. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Solidworks design. + Experience with GD&T tolerances. + Leadership and management experience. + Project planning and scheduling skills. + Knowledge of ISO standards. + Research and development experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Engineering. + 3+ years of leadership experience with the ability to manage and delegate 5-8 projects at a time. + Attention to detail. + Experience in metals/plastics. + CMM/CNC programming skills. + Familiarity with Creo. Work Environment The work environment consists of a team size of 100 people at the facility, with a direct team of 4 engineers (leading 3 of them) and partnering with the Quality Manager. The setting includes both a manufacturing floor and office environment. The schedule is flexible, typically from 8-5, Monday through Friday. The company is privately owned, enjoys a small, close-knit atmosphere, and operates in a climate-controlled facility under new leadership.
