If so, we have an exceptional opportunity for you to join the Peoria Proving Ground (PPG) team within the Earthmoving Division (EMD) as the Motor Grader (MG) and Medium Wheel Loader (MWL) **Engineering Manager** . As the MG/MWL Engineering Manager for PPG, you will lead the product development, test, and validation team in support of the MG and MWL product groups, acting as an extension of these teams to execute critical programs. As a member of the site leadership team, you’ll also drive facility-specific strategies and initiatives, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on employees, products, and the communities we serve. We encourage you to apply and become a part of our dynamic team. **What You Will Do:** + **Lead a High-Performing Team:** Manage a multidisciplinary testing team of 10 to 20, focusing on staffing, talent development, and performance to cultivate future technical and project leaders. + **Drive Validation Execution:** Oversee test plan development and execution in coordination with MG and MWL product groups, system teams, and global validation sites **—** assuring robust validation across customer experience, functionality, and compliance. + **Provide Technical Direction:** Guide machine and solution testing to ensure products meet engineering standards, deliver quality, and exceed customer expectations. + **Manage Programs & Budgets:** Own short- and long-term validation programs aligned with MG and MWL goals, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and adherence to a $10–15M budget. + **Collaborate Cross-Functionally:** Work closely with design, technology, software, and quality teams to integrate test insights and drive continuous improvement through data. + **Champion Facility Improvements:** Lead initiatives to enhance safety, compliance, operations, and capital projects at the site. + **Support Product Groups:** Partner with MG and MWL teams to support special events at PPG and resolve program, product, and process challenges. **What you’ll have:** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university. + **Communication and Collaboration** : Experienced in driving cross-functional success through strategic alignment, clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative global leadership. Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership. + **Product Development** : Experienced in New Product Introduction (NPI), full product lifecycle development, and effective project management. + **Strategic Planning** : Experienced in developing tactical plans aligned with strategic goals, ensuring effective resource allocation to support execution. Bring a Growth Mindset, challenging the status quo to drive continuous improvement an breakthroughs in validation execution. + **Leadership and Management** : Experienced in leading and motivating cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts, managing performance, and fostering a growth mindset through continuous learning and innovation. **Top Candidates Will Have:** + At least 10 years’ engineering experience. + **Safety Focus** : Experienced in prioritizing safety in decision-making, enforcing compliance with regulations, and cultivating a culture where safety is valued and team members are empowered to speak up. + **Organizational Skills** : Ability to organize multiple activities efficiently, navigate ambiguity with clarity, and prioritize tasks to optimize time and outcomes. + **Technical Proficiency** : Develop and implement technology solutions, leveraging strong proficiency in product software architecture and systems. Experience leveraging technology to help solve customer or operational challenges. + **Business Acumen** : Ability to apply business metrics to track and report results, align operations with strategic goals, and clearly communicate financial impact to stakeholders. + **Operational Efficiency** : Demonstrated skill in driving process improvements through strategic initiatives, optimize resource allocation, implementing technology, and apply lean principles—especially within customer or dealer operations. **Additional Info** : + Domestic relocation assistance is available to those who qualify. + This position requires 5 days per week in the office. + This position may require up to 10% travel.. **Summary Pay Range:** $144,960.00 - $217,320.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
