Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of instrumentation engineers and technicians.  

Oversee project assignments, workload distribution, and performance evaluations.  

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and technical excellence.  

Spearhead the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of **X300 series instrumentation** (e.g., pressure

transmitters, flow meters, control valves, DCS/PLC interfaces).  Ensure systems comply with **ISA, IEC, ANSI, and API standards**.  

Optimize control loops, calibration procedures, and predictive maintenance strategies.  

Manage CAPEX and OPEX projects related to instrumentation upgrades and replacements.  

Develop and execute preventive/predictive maintenance programs for critical instruments.  

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process, electrical, automation) to ensure seamless integration.  

Ensure adherence to **functional safety standards (SIL, IEC 61511)** and hazardous area classifications (ATEX, NEC).  

Lead **HAZOP, LOPA, and risk assessment** initiatives.  

Maintain documentation for audits (ISO, OSHA, PSM).  

Liaise with suppliers for technical support and procurement.  

Manage contracts, budgets, and timelines for instrumentation projects.  

Evaluate emerging technologies (IIoT, smart sensors, wireless instrumentation).  

Drive digitization and Industry 4.0 initiatives for predictive analytics.  

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering.  

10+ years in instrumentation engineering.

Expertise in X300 series or equivalent (e.g., Rosemount, Fisher, DeltaV) 

Proven track record in DCS/PLC, SCADA, and calibration methodologies

PE (Professional Engineer) & ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)

Strong project management (PMP a plus).  

Analytical problem-solving and stakeholder communication.  

 

Location: Wilmington, NC or Greenville, SC (Remote in USA allowed for qualified candidates but Travel to Wilmington, NC is required as needed).

 

Travel: 5 to 20%

Compensation Type: Competitive wages.  Position also qualifies for benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, disability, life insurance, 401(K), tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Status: Full-Time Exempt

Work Experience
