About the Team

DoorDash is looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead our Earnings product engineering team, a key group within the Dasher Earnings organization. This team is on a mission to make DoorDash the most rewarding platform for gig workers by giving Dashers greater visibility, control, and confidence in how they earn. Our team’s north star is simple but bold: empower Dashers to earn efficiently, predictably, and transparently. ​​In 2024 alone, more than 7 million U.S. Dashers earned over $16 billion on the platform — highlighting the scale, responsibility, and opportunity of our work.  We’re building the technical foundation for a pay experience that feels fair and rewarding, giving Dashers the data and tools to reach their financial goals, while directly impacting the livelihoods of millions every day. We sit at the intersection of product innovation, data modeling, financial systems, and user empathy. We collaborate closely with Product, Design, Analytics, and Operations to deliver high-impact experiences—from surfacing personalized earnings opportunities, tipping behaviors, insights, to goal-based gamification

About the Role

As the Engineering Manager for the Earnings product team, you will lead a highly cross-functional team of backend, frontend, and full-stack engineers. You’ll define and execute a technical vision that pushes boundaries — building resilient, scalable systems that unlock novel ways for Dashers to maximize their income while maintaining fairness and platform integrity. This role requires balancing user impact with business strategy, financial modeling with product innovation, and operational reliability with engineering velocity.
