Responsibilities\rProvide engineering repair and attention for media production facilities and transmission equipment to correct deficiencies and return to service in a timely fashionRepairing includes troubleshooting down to the board level and the component level when possible. Configuring and loading software.Equipment to be worked on may include monitors, Sony cameras, RTS intercom components, audio components, robo cameras, and computer/networking piecesLiaise with manufacturer support on a regular basis to keep current with equipment updates and service notesWork under the direction of the Sr Manager of Maintenance Engineering to address items on a prioritized scheduleLiaise with operators and field staff to identify and correct technical issuesProvide technical support to field staff as required in order to support issue resolution and/or potential work arounds for event coverageAttend to the routine service of production facilities as per recommended practicesConsistently update equipment logs and service history tracking in order to maintain current statusProvide engineering coverage for events on an emergency basisQualifications\rRecognized certificate in Electronic Technology or equivalentPrefer 5 years relative media technical experienceEffective skills in communicating issues, impact and resolution stepsThorough knowledge for all types of media equipment and expected performanceUnderstanding of remote sports and entertainment productionsExperience with computer systems, networking topology, and applications used in the media production environment.Ability to effectively utilize support tools and test gear to perform accurate evaluation of equipment and integrated facilitiesRequirements\rAbility to travel within North AmericaMust hold a valid Canadian driver’s licenseRequired to work weekdays, evenings and/or weekends as assignedAbility to work in a dynamic and changing environment and deal with emergencies as they arise

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
