About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Team Manager to join our Software Product Delivery group, where the focus will be on designing, developing, and leading activities related to new requirements and maintenance for our products and customers. Our OTA product is recognized as one of the most advanced and proven offerings for Automotive and Mobile OEMs and suppliers. The role also involves shaping the future Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) offering and defining the migration path from legacy products to a new, advanced architecture. Responsibilities include system component design, implementation, code review as well as mentoring team members and enhancing the development environment. The position requires integration of end-to-end solutions across automotive systems and operator networks, ensuring high technical quality and supporting the development of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and robust development infrastructure. What You Will Do
Lead Development/QA team located in JapanDesign/development of automotive OTA E2E solution (Cloud/On-premises)Contribute to clarify customer requirement and transfer to global teamsHelp analyzing customer requirement in JapaneseHave deep understanding in the products progression and Harman SDV offeringReview new architecture plans and create a migration pathGuide the team in adopting modern AI-driven methodologies, such as data-driven development, model-based design, and automated decision-making.Embracing new technologies, running POCs and adaptation of our processesTransfer knowledge to QA/technical support through documentation and meetingsWriting code to develop customer features, to improve our product, to deeply understand technical feasibility etc.Investigate and analyze technical problems and making recommendations to improve software qualityImprove technical level of team members and development environment1. Education: BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent3+ years of team management experience7+ years of work experience in Java programming or Embedded systems using C/C++Strong knowledge of AI/ML concepts, tools, and applications including hands on experience (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, automation tools)Hands-on experience with development tools like: Maven, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, GitHubLinux hands-on, networkingIndependent, experienced in learning new environments and assembling POC quickly, experienced in working under pressure and deadlinesIndependent and Self MotivatedNative level JapaneseBusiness Level English skills (meeting, reporting and collaboration)What is Nice to Have
