LEAD ENGINEER

 

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Lead Engineer is responsible for oversight of various projects and engineering staff for a given business unit.  Working closely with operations management, the Lead Engineer will guide the project engineers to complete projects according to established schedules and budgets.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop capital plan for the business unitManage engineer’s priorities and work loadCommunicate business needs with management and develop prioritiesTrain and develop engineersBe able to successfully manage projects and budgets

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering  or a related field is preferred or 7+ years experience in industry specific role relative to project engineeringAbove average AutoCAD skillsProficient with Microsoft OfficeMust have excellent project management skillsMust demonstrate strong analytical skills.Demonstrate ability to effectively work with others to identify and capitalize on opportunities that result in successful implementation of changes for the benefit of the business
