Who will you be working with?  As the Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to the Production Engineering Team Leader in the form of using CAD software to create necessary documentation to specified standards, investigating and reporting back on component and manufacturing issues, and performing routine tasks for maintenance of quality.

Length of assignment - 12 months fixed term

What will your typical day look like?

Investigating production issues and feeding them back to the Production Engineering Team Leader.

Producing engineering documentation, including engineering drawings and process control instructions.

Creation of jigs and fixtures & their associated documentation.

Electronic and mechanical analysis for replacement of old jigs and fixtures.

Mechanical inspections of incoming goods.

Implementing design changes under the supervision of the production engineering team leader.

Circuit analysis for approval of replacement parts.

What do we want to know about you?

3rd Year Engineering (Mechatronics Student) Minimum. This is an undergraduate position.

Fast learner with good analytical skills.

Moderate level of computer experience – ability to problem solve software issues.

Will maintain and support OH&S policies and expectations.

Familiar with CAD packages, specifically AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and Altium.

Capable of performing basic electronics analysis.

Will need access to own vehicle as site is not accessible by public transport
